This could be anything from landfill zones to industrial, military or mining wasteland. Or perhaps you have land alongside motorways or railway lines? Don't let these spaces go to waste any longer.
Benefits to the owners of wasteland
Do you own wasteland?
This could be anything from landfill zones to industrial, military or mining wasteland. Or perhaps you have land alongside motorways or railway lines? Don’t let these spaces go to waste any longer. Depending on the land conditions, you could build solar parks in these less favourable areas and generate reliable income over the next 30 years. With the construction of a solar park in these spaces, not only can you achieve long-term, secure income; you can also contribute to biodiversity. Solar parks are built in areas that have a low soil value, so that high-quality soils are preserved for agriculture or nature conservation. But wasteland can also be valuable for increasing biodiversity. Fencing off land for solar parks can create relatively undisrupted breeding grounds for ground-nesting bird species as well as a safe retreat for amphibians, as these habitats aren’t visited as often by people. It should be noted that frequently used waste disposal sites are to be avoided.

HOW WELL-SUITED IS YOUR LAND
FOR A SOLAR PARK?
Our criteria
What criteria do we use to choose land for the construction of a solar park?
In order to be able to construct a WIRCON GmbH solar park, land of at least 10 hectares is required. This could e.g. be a landfill, industrial, military or mining site, or land that lies alongside motorways or railway lines. Solar parks are also built on soils that have a low value, preserving high-quality soils for agriculture or nature conservation. To feed electricity into the power network, a grid feed-in point is required. This should be located at a reasonable distance from the solar park, or can be set up there. Topographically, it is important that the area is free from the shade of trees or buildings, so as not to impede solar strength. Terrain with a topography that is either flat or, if hilly, faces south, is best suited for installing rows of solar modules efficiently and without shade.
